Our bodies depend solely on the combination of what we eat to remain in good condition. There are nutritional factors that our bodies need. When you have them in your body through your diet, your body will remain healthy.

1. Macronutrients

Macronutrients are vital nutrients that constitute our diet and supply our bodies with what they need to function. These are fat, protein, and carbohydrates. Your body needs macronutrients in larger amounts than all the other nutrients.

2. Minerals And Trace Minerals

There are at least 60 minerals and trace minerals that the body needs. If you’re deficient in any of them, symptoms can begin to arise to show you that you’re deficient or that you need to do something about your health.

3. Vitamins

Some of them are essential vitamins. Some of them are non-essential vitamins. There’s a difference between the two. The non-essential one is more essential than the essential.

The reason why it is non-essential is that if you don’t have it in your diet, your body will still manufacture it because your body cannot afford not to have it.

The essential ones are the ones that your body will not manufacture; you have to eat them from your food. That’s why it’s called essential as far as eating it is concerned. If you are deficient in any of those nutrients, your body will show you symptoms of a disease.

4. Other cofactors

Many cofactors are also needed for wellness. Some of them are tangible, and some of them are intangible.

Unfortunately, quite often, some of us don’t pay close attention to the impact these cofactors have on our health, so we’re deficient in them.
