The United Kingdom has confirmed an increase in visa fees, set to take effect from April 9. The adjustments will impact several categories, including study, visitor, sponsorship, and transit visas.
Under the new pricing structure, the cost of a six-month tourist visa will rise from £115 to £127, reflecting an almost 7% increase. A two-year visitor visa will now cost £475, up from £432.

Meanwhile, fees for five-year and ten-year visitor visas have been adjusted to £848 and £1,059, respectively.
Students and their dependents will experience a 10% increase, with the previous £490 application fee climbing to £524. Transit visa fees have also changed, with air passengers now required to pay £39 instead of £35, while land travellers will be charged £70, up from £64.
The adjustments extend beyond standard visas to include visa extensions, skilled worker permits, naturalisation applications, and electronic travel authorisations (ETAs). However, premium services, such as fast-track processing and premium sponsorships, remain unaffected.
