Foods made from refined flour, such as white bread, pastries and some noodles, are quickly broken down into glucose. The lack of fibre causes rapid absorption into the bloodstream, leading to sudden blood sugar spikes even in healthy individuals.
2. Sugary Drinks And Fruit Juices
Soft drinks, energy drinks and packaged fruit juices contain high amounts of added sugars. Liquid sugars are absorbed faster than solid foods, causing sharp increases in blood glucose. Even natural fruit juices lack the fibre found in whole fruits, making them less blood sugar friendly.
