Modestus Ojiebe, an officer with the Nigeria Police Force and Chief Superintendent attached to the Kwara State Police Command, has reportedly been abducted by armed assailants along the Abuja-Kaduna Expressway in Abuja.
EKO HOT BLOG reports that the incident occurred on Mondwhile Ojiebe was attempting to repair his vehicle after it broke down near the Dei-Dei Police Barracks in Abuja.

Counter-insurgency expert Zagazola Makama explained that while he was fixing the vehicle, an ash-colored Mercedes-Benz carrying four armed men pulled up behind him.
The attackers searched both Ojiebe and his wife, confiscating their mobile phones and ATM cards. Upon discovering his police identity card, they forced him into their vehicle and sped away, leaving his wife and the car behind.
Following the incident, the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of Dawaki Division received a distress call and promptly deployed a patrol team to the area.
Authorities have also intensified stop-and-search operations at various entry and exit points of the Federal Capital Territory in efforts to locate the officer and apprehend the suspects.

At least three independent security sources, including police officers, confirmed the incident to Daily Trust, although they declined to provide further details. One source stated, “The information is correct, but I am not permitted to speak further on this, so please do not expect any more details.”
As of now, Police Public Relations Officer in the FCT, Josephine Adeh, has not issued an official statement. Naija News further noted that there have been several kidnapping incidents in Abuja amid the ongoing battle against insecurity.
