EDITOR’S PICK:

EKO HOT BLOG reports that the current Vice President ruling under the APC; Yemi Osinbajo, will not declare a 2023 Presidential ambition on Thursday, as many expect.

It is no news that so many Nigerians are anticipating Yemi Osinbajo to contest as a candidate in the 2023 presidential election and lift the leadership batten from where the current President will leave off.

There were recent reports by so many media platforms, that Osinbajo is ready to contest in the 2023 elections, under the APC, and in fact, would declare his presidential ambitious on Thursday. But sources close to the Vice President have debunked the information stating that it’s only a rumour.

Back in February, Laolu Akande, the Vice President’s spokesman, stated that Yemi Osinbajo has not taken a decision to run for Presidency in the coming elections.

He went further to note that the Vice President is still concentrating fully on his present administration working alongside Mr President Muhammedu Buhari.

His words were:

“The Vice President has not taken any decision whatsoever, to run in the next elections, or aspire Presidency in 2023”.

“He is still fully focused, and committed to his administration, and supporting Mr President, please ignore any speculations”.

Well, it seems like so many groups in the country are still expecting Osinbajo to declare his intentions towards the coming general elections.
