Eko Hot Blog reports that Renowned Nollywood veteran, Kanayo O Kanayo, has sounded a note of caution to the Igbo community amidst the prevailing economic challenges in Nigeria. Speaking out in a viral video shared on social media, Kanayo urged fellow Igbos to refrain from participating in the planned nationwide protest against the federal government led by President Bola Tinubu.

Highlighting the historical targeting of Igbos in Nigeria, Kanayo emphasized the need for vigilance and solidarity within the community. He urged Igbos to adopt the stance of being “unavailable” for protest, echoing the sentiments expressed in Davido’s popular song.

“In times of crisis, we must be wise and cautious,” Kanayo remarked, underscoring the vulnerability of Igbos in the country’s political landscape. He emphasized that if Igbos are deemed unfit for leadership, they should also abstain from engaging in protests.

The actor’s message comes amidst warnings from the apex Igbo socio-cultural organization, Ohanaeze Ndigbo, advising Igbo youths against participating in the planned protests.
