In a letter dated January 9, 2025, Omowunmi’s legal team, Salawu Akingbolu Chambers, claimed that Joseph Aloba rejected her choice of medical facilities for the DNA test, including options like Lagoon Hospitals.
Omowunmi had proposed alternative facilities such as Eko Hospital and Reddington Hospital, but claimed that Aloba failed to respond to these suggestions.
The dispute began when the court ordered both parties to agree on a facility where the test would be conducted under supervision.
Omowunmi expressed frustration with the ongoing delays, threatening to proceed with the test independently if the matter remained unresolved.
Her letter also addressed accusations made by Aloba’s legal team on social media, accusing Omowunmi of not cooperating with the DNA test.
Omowunmi denied these allegations, stating that her family had been wrongfully portrayed, and demanded an apology for the accusations.
She also expressed anger at the defamation of her son, with Aloba allegedly calling him a “bastard” on social media.

They also announced their withdrawal from representing Aloba in the case.
The dispute continues as both parties await a resolution from the court regarding the DNA test.
