Bandits Storm Kankara Hospital, Injure Doctor, Kidnap Staff

EKO HOT BLOG reports that the Katsina State Police Command’s Public Relations Officer, DSP Abubakar Sadiq, confirmed the incident in a phone conversation with our correspondent late Wednesday.

“Yes, I am aware of the attack,” he said.
The assault occurred around 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, leaving Dr. Murtala Sale Dandashire, a doctor on duty, with a gunshot wound to the leg. He is currently receiving treatment at an undisclosed medical facility.
An anonymous source reported that the bandits stormed the hospital grounds, firing sporadically, which caused panic among staff and patients. During the chaos, they abducted an unidentified staff member before fleeing.
