Sani urged the impeached Speaker to express gratitude for the opportunity to serve and embrace his current circumstances with grace.
Furthermore, he advised Obasa to step aside and allow the newly elected Speaker, Mojisola Meranda, to carry out her duties without interference.
Sani stated, “Hon. Obasa should just thank his God, accept his fate, and calm down. It’s a rare privilege to occupy that seat and serve for that long.
“Not everyone can be that lucky in life.”

He added, “Allow the Honorable Lady Speaker to do her job; if he is actually good, posterity will vindicate him.”
Following his recent impeachment amid allegations of corruption and mismanagement, Obasa contests the allegations and the legitimacy of the impeachment process, Sani’s advice serves as a reminder of the importance of unity and cooperation during political shifts.
In addition, Assembly member Stephen Ogundipe has refuted Obasa’s claim to retain his position, asserting that over two-thirds of the Assembly members stand behind Meranda.
