The member representing Epe Constituency I at the Lagos State House of Assembly (LAHA), Hon. Abiodun Tobun, has reiterated his commitment to addressing the lingering issue of epileptic electricity supply in Epe, Lagos State.
Ekohotblog reports that speaking at the annual get-together party organized by the Tobun for Real Team, held on January 25, 2025, at the Epe Recreational Hall, the lawmaker expressed his determination to find a lasting solution to the electricity challenges plaguing the ancient town.

“Efforts have been geared up numerous times to reinstall cables in areas where they were vandalized, but unfortunately, these evil men repeatedly carted away the properties at different occasions and locations,” Tobun lamented.
He revealed that discussions with IKEDC officials are ongoing, with strategies being developed to ensure the safety of public property. “We have discussed with the IKEDC officials, and they are coming up with great strategies to ensure the safety of public property,” he added.
The lawmaker urged the people of Epe Division to exercise patience, assuring them that their hardship would soon be over. “I plead with the people of Epe to exercise patience as the electricity hardship will soon be a thing of the past,” Tobun declared.

On his performance as a representative at LAHA, Tobun said, “It is a continuous development. My contributions towards the growth of Epe are ongoing. We are into projects that will benefit the entire people of Epe.
I’m not resting on my oars because the development of this ancient town is paramount to me.”
The event was graced by prominent APC leaders in Epe, including Hon. Bola Gbabijo, Elder Segun Oluade, Hon. Olamiji Sulaiman-Kadri, Hon. Rotimi Ibrahim, Otunba Bode Alausa, and Hon. Ahmed Seriki, who spoke highly of Tobun’s performance.
“The performances of Hon. Tobun are second to none. He has never taken his constituents for granted. The people should continue to support and cooperate with him to achieve more,” said Hon. Bola Gbabijo, a former member of the Federal House of Representatives.
The Chairman of the Tobun for Real Team, Prince Wale Idowu, expressed gratitude to the APC leaders and members for honoring their invitation. He noted that the get-together party was an opportunity to thank God and celebrate Hon. Tobun for his quality representation at LAHA.

In an interview, Hon. Ahmed Seriki, Commissioner III of the Lagos State Local Government Service Commission, called for collective efforts to tackle vandalism.
“The epileptic supply of electricity in Epe is saddening. The vandals continue to cart away cables. This is a fight for all. Everyone must be security conscious,” he emphasized.
