Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu recently called on Heads of Agency and Parastatal of the government to redouble their efforts in transforming Lagos into a model of good governance and sustainable development for the entire African continent.
Eko Hot Blog reports that at the closing ceremony of a retreat for Heads of Agency and Parastatal in Epe, Sanwo-Olu emphasized the importance of working with unwavering focus to deliver exceptional results for the state.

He emphasized that good governance is an ongoing process, and the decisions made today will significantly impact the state’s future.

Sanwo-Olu highlighted the government’s commitment to utilizing technology to enhance governance, stating that the Lagos Smart City initiative is actively being implemented.
This approach involves digitizing government services, executing e-governance solutions, and ensuring that each agency adopts a modern, data-driven approach to operations.
One such example is the LAG-ID Project, a unified identity system aimed at simplifying Lagosians’ access to government services. Sanwo-Olu encouraged all sectors to embrace forward-thinking initiatives like the LAG-ID Project in order to promote progress and efficient service delivery.
According to him, “As Heads of Agencies, you are custodians of public trust; The decisions you take, the policies you implement and the services you deliver directly impact the lives of Lagosians.
This is why we cannot afford to be complacent. We must challenge ourselves to think bigger, work smarter and serve better”.
The Governor appreciated the organizers for bringing together the heads of government agencies to share insights, challenge assumptions, and enhance service.
