Eko Hot Blog gathered that the suspects, aged 35, 20, and 35 respectively, were arraigned before the Iyaganku Chief Magistrate Court in Ibadan on a three-count charge of conspiracy, burglary, and stealing under the Criminal Laws of the State.

Presiding Magistrate Maaruf Mudashiru ordered the defendants remanded at the Agodi Correctional facility, pending legal advice from the Directorate of Public Prosecution (DPP).
The matter was adjourned until May 5, 2025, for mention and to receive the DPP’s advice, which will determine if the case will be transferred to the High Court based on jurisdiction.
During the hearing, prosecutor CSP Samad Aliu informed the court that the defendants committed the alleged offenses on December 14, 2024, between 12:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m. in Ibadan.
They allegedly broke into the residence of Mrs. Mary Adejumo, the complainant, and stole a set of gold jewelry, a set of diamond jewelry, four wristwatches, two laptops, and travel documents, with a total value of N108.6 million.
The stolen items also included $5,000, £1,000, and €200 in cash.

If tried and found guilty, the defendants may face several years of imprisonment for their alleged crimes.
