Hon. Abiodun Tobun a member representing Epe Constituency 1 at the Lagos State House of Assembly, was installed as the Balogun of Epe Land by Oba Kamorudeen Animashaun, the Oloja of Epe on the 20th of February, 2025.
Ekohotblog reports that the event, held at the Oloja’s Palace, was organized in commemoration of Oba Animashaun’s 25th coronation anniversary and 80th birthday, adding a historical significance to the occasion.

Dignitaries, political figures, royal fathers, community leaders, and residents gathered to witness the installation of Hon. Tobun, celebrating his new role as a key leader in Epe Land.
In his speech, Oba Kamorudeen Animashaun emphasized the importance of the Balogun title, describing it as one of the most respected and powerful positions in Epe’s traditional leadership structure.

During his acceptance speech, Balogun Abiodun Tobun expressed heartfelt gratitude for the honor, recognizing the significance of the title and the responsibilities it carries.

The ceremony was part of the cultural celebrations marking Oba Animashaun’s 80th birthday and 25th coronation anniversary, showcasing the rich heritage and traditions of Epe.
