The Epe Division Unity and Development Conference 3.0, one of the biggest gatherings of intellectuals and stakeholders in Epe, was held yesterday with a strong focus on leveraging technology for community progress.
Ekohotblog gathers that the event themed “Empowering Our Community for Progress,” the conference brought together scholars, policymakers, and youth leaders to discuss strategies for fostering unity and economic growth across Epe Division.

The event, organized by the League of Epe-Division Youth and Student’s Association (LEYOSA) under the leadership of Amb. Kadri Abiola Adedolapo (Morgan), aimed at reshaping mindsets and harnessing technological advancements to drive sustainable development.
Delivering the keynote address, Dr. (Mrs.) Akinrinola Fatimah, Head of the Computer Science Education Department at Lagos State University of Education (LASUED), emphasized the transformative role of technology in community development.

She outlined practical ways digital innovations could boost the local economy, enhance education, and improve governance.
“Technology is no longer a luxury but a necessity for growth. We must embrace digital solutions to create job opportunities, strengthen our industries, and ensure a competitive economy within Epe Division,” Dr. Akinrinola stated.
She further urged the youth to acquire tech skills and leverage innovation in agriculture, commerce, and public service to drive sustainable development.
The Keynote Speaker, Barr. Yakubu Eleto, also lent his voice to the discourse, calling for a solid legal and structural framework to support technological advancement in the region.
“For technology to truly empower our community, we need strong policies that encourage investment in digital infrastructure and ensure inclusivity in access to opportunities,” he said.
His speech, though delivered at a late hour due to his tight schedule, was well received and will be published for broader circulation.
The panel discussion featured notable experts who shared in-depth analyses and recommendations on how Epe Division can harness innovation for economic and social transformation.
Their intellectual contributions were described as “unquantifiable” by the convener, Amb. Kadri Abiola Adedolapo (Morgan).
“Bringing these brilliant minds together was one of the best decisions we made. Their insights will go a long way in shaping the future of Epe Division,” he said.
The event was graced by several dignitaries, including the Chairman of the Day, Mr. Kadri Semiu Oluwasanu, Permanent Secretary, Chief of Staff Office, Lagos State. Others in attendance included Hon. Saliu Adeniyi, Executive Director of LagRide; Hon. Kamaldeen Olaide Lawal (KOL), Executive Chairman of Epe Local Government, represented by Hon. Ladele Ismail; LASCOTA Epe President, Hon. Giwa Aloma; and Comr. Ogunbanwo Ibraheem, Provost, NYCN Epe Division.
