In a devastating turn of events in the Boto area of Tafawa Balewa LGA, Bauchi State, a groom, Abba Musa, and the bride’s elder sister, Maryam Sulieman, tragically lost their lives just 30 minutes before the wedding ceremony.

EKO HOT BLOG reports that both individuals died in a car accident while en route from Murno—a community located about 5km from Boto—to the wedding.

Eyewitnesses described the incident as a profound loss that has plunged the entire community into grief. Saminu Boto, the groom’s brother, lamented, “It’s an unimaginable loss.
The entire community is mourning,” as relatives and friends struggled to come to terms with the tragedy.
The bride, Raihanatu Suleiman, along with her family, has been left in deep mourning, with the family home—once the center of wedding preparations—now transformed into a place of tears and sorrow.
