- Why I Dumped PDP – Jandor
- He claims the party has lost credibility and remains under ineffective leadership.
- He is yet to decide on his next political move but hints at coalitions.
The 2023 governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Lagos State, Abdul-Azeez Adediran, popularly known as Jandor, has revealed that internal toxicity and leadership crises continue to weaken the party.
Speaking on Channels Television, Jandor stated that the PDP is struggling with deep-seated internal conflicts, which have eroded its credibility and public trust.

EKO HOT BLOG reports that he announced his resignation from the party on Monday, citing the ongoing leadership crisis at the national level as a major reason for his decision to quit.
“Who goes around posting that they are a member of PDP these days? With what is happening at both the national and state levels, the optics are bad. Even the party itself has given up,” he said.
He further alleged that those who previously worked against the PDP are now the ones in control, making genuine reforms impossible. With the party congresses scheduled for 2025 and primaries in 2026, Jandor expressed doubt that the PDP would undergo any meaningful transformation.
“If you still have the same set of people in charge, you can’t expect different results,” he added.

Regarding his next political move, Jandor said he had not yet decided but hinted at possible collaborations with other political groups.
“We have 18 political parties in Nigeria, so there are 17 other options. But we will consult and decide. There are also coalitions forming, with people coming together to explore new possibilities,” he stated.
