He also commended UNICEF as a worthy partner in supporting the Federal Government’s programmes under the Renewed Hope Agenda.
Highlighting the administration’s priorities, Shettima said the government was committed to advancing projects in health, nutrition, and human capital development, citing initiatives such as the Nutrition 774 Initiative, the Nutrition Intervention Fund, and economic and financial inclusion schemes.
“President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is a man of courage and conviction, and he is doing everything possible to redefine the concept of modern leadership in Nigeria,” Shettima said. “We are on the cusp of regenerating our economy and rebuilding this nation.
The gains of our reforms are manifesting by the day, the inflationary trend is on the decline and by the end of the year, the economy will further stabilise for all to see.”

Acknowledging Nigeria’s long-standing partnership with UNICEF, the Vice President expressed confidence that the organisation’s support would bring fresh experience and capacity to government programmes.
In response, Ms Abdelatef praised Shettima’s leadership and humanitarian commitment, describing him as a global citizen. She reaffirmed UNICEF’s pledge to align with the administration’s priorities, particularly in nutrition, education, and girl-child development, while commending key interventions such as the Nutrition Bill and Nutrition 774 Initiative.
