Hiigh Chief Folarin Iyanda, the Bashorun of Epe Kingdom, has successfully hosted his inaugural Ramadan lecture at the First Epe Central Mosque, Oke-Balogun.
The event, which drew esteemed Islamic scholars, traditional leaders, and community members, marked a significant milestone in Epe.

“Since my installation as Bashorun, it has been my desire to contribute meaningfully to the religious and cultural development of our beloved Epe Kingdom. I sincerely appreciate everyone who has supported me on this journey,” he said.

The keynote lecture was delivered by renowned Islamic scholar Alhaji Lukman Ajanosi (Oniwaasi 1), who based his sermon on the theme of contentment and the significance of spiritual devotion.
“Contentment is one of the greatest blessings from Almighty Allah,” he emphasized, urging Muslims to remain steadfast in faith and to embrace acts of kindness, charity, and communal support.
He further advised, “Ramadan is not just about fasting; it is a time for deep self-reflection, purification of the heart, and strengthening our relationship with Allah. Let us use this sacred period to uplift one another and build a stronger, united Muslim community.”
The event was attended by prominent figures, including religious leaders and community stakeholders.
In his closing remarks, Chief Iyanda offered prayers for the continued reign of His Royal Majesty, Oba Dr. Shefiu Olatunji Adewale, the Olu-Epe of Epe Kingdom, and for the peace, prosperity, and development of Epe as a whole.
