Numerous protests and petitions submitted to the APC Appeal Committee regarding the primaries have prompted the party leadership to activate its internal conflict resolution mechanism to foster unity and cohesion in the lead-up to the elections.
To facilitate a timely and efficient resolution of issues, the reconciliation process has been decentralized, ensuring that the committees can operate effectively across the state.
The reconciliation committees established across Lagos State’s senatorial districts consist of the following members:
Lagos East Senatorial District:
Headed by Dr. Lateef Ibirogba, with Saheed Afonja, Sumbo Onitiri, and Sade Bakare serving as members.
Lagos Central Senatorial District:
Led by former Deputy Governor Chief (Mrs) Sarah Sosan, with Funso Ologunde, Adedoyin Banjo, and Adigun Olalekan as members.

Lagos West 1 Senatorial District:
Chaired by Otunba Bode Oyedele, with Chief Jide Damazio, Alhaji Aleshinloye, and Comfort Olalere on the team.
Lagos West 2 Senatorial District:
Headed by Alhaji Mutiu Are, with Hon. Jumoke Okoya, Otunba Kehinde Adeniyi, and Adeola Rashidat as members.
Lagos State APC Chairman, Pastor Cornelius Ojelabi, acknowledged the committee members’ extensive experience and their representation of diverse interests within the party. He urged the committees to approach their task with diligence, ensuring that all aggrieved members are heard and their concerns are addressed.
“Our goal is to go into the elections as a united front,” Ojelabi said. “We are optimistic that this reconciliation process will reaffirm our party’s strength and internal democracy.”
The committees have been given a two-week deadline to submit their reports.
