The Federal Ministry of Education and Minister of Education, Dr. Tunji Alausa has strongly condemned the recent incident at Complete Child Development College in Akure, Ondo State, where the Vice Principal, Mr. Rotifa, was allegedly assaulted by suspected thugs.
Eko Hot Blog gathered that the suspected thugs were hired by a student’s parents for enforcing examination integrity during the West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE).
Dr. Alausa encouraged schools to promptly report any threats or breaches during examinations to law enforcement agencies and educational authorities.

He stated that the ministry is working closely with state ministries, law enforcement, and examination bodies to strengthen examination security and integrity.
In addition , the Federal Ministry of Education also reaffirmed its zero-tolerance policy for examination malpractice, staff intimidation, and unethical conduct from students, parents, or guardians.

The ministry stated that sanctions will be imposed on any student engaging in examination malpractice in accordance with national guidelines, while parents or guardians enabling or participating in such behavior will be prosecuted under the law.
Furthermore , the Ministry urges thorough investigation and prosecution of those involved to serve as a deterrent to others.
The Ministry says it stands in solidarity with the staff of Complete Child Development College and all educational stakeholders who uphold the values of discipline, accountability, and academic excellence in resisting examination malpractice.
The Ondo State Government in response to the incident and the State Police Command swiftly arrested the suspects, including Mrs. Dorcas Asije and four accomplices.
