The Dangote Petroleum Refinery has announced that it will commence the nationwide distribution of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), popularly known as petrol, and diesel from August 15, 2025.
This marks a major milestone in Nigeria’s energy supply chain and a significant boost to local fuel availability.

EKO HOT BLOG reports that in a statement released on Sunday, the refinery disclosed it would deploy 4,000 brand-new Compressed Natural Gas (CNG)-powered tankers to improve delivery capacity and ensure efficient fuel access across the country.
According to the company, the initiative is open to a wide range of fuel users, including petroleum marketers, filling station dealers, manufacturers, telecommunications firms, aviation operators, and other high-volume consumers.
To further strengthen distribution, the refinery revealed plans to set up daughter booster CNG stations and a dedicated fleet of over 100 CNG-powered tankers, ensuring efficient last-mile fuel delivery.
The company emphasized that the rollout would include free logistics support, aimed at reducing operational and transportation costs in key sectors of the Nigerian economy.
“Dangote Petroleum Refinery is pleased to announce the commencement of a significant national initiative designed to transform Nigeria’s fuel distribution landscape,” the statement said.
“Effective August 15, 2025, the refinery will begin the distribution of Premium Motor Spirit and diesel to marketers, petrol dealers, manufacturers, telecom firms, aviation, and other large users across the country, with free logistics to boost the distribution network.

“This strategic programme is part of our broader commitment to eliminating logistics costs, enhancing energy efficiency, promoting sustainability, and supporting Nigeria’s economic development.”
