1. Massive Turnout as Ikosi-Ejinrin LCDA Joins APC Lagos East Senatorial Mega Rally
A massive crowd of All Progressives Congress (APC) members and supporters from Ikosi-Ejinrin Local Council Development Area (LCDA) stormed Government College, Owutu, Ikorodu, on Saturday, June 28, 2025, for the Lagos East Senatorial District Mega Campaign Rally.
Ekohotblog reports that the high-energy political event featured the official unveiling of all 16 APC Chairmanship and Vice Chairmanship candidates from Lagos East ahead of the upcoming July 12 Local Government Elections.
The delegation from Ikosi-Ejinrin LCDA was led by the LGA APC Chairman, Hon. Wittu Bamidele Ajenifuja, and included the council’s flagbearers — Otunba-Akogun Wale Raji Anomo (Chairmanship candidate) and Alhaji Wasiu Oluwole Dehinsilu (Vice Chairmanship candidate).

A fresh legal storm is brewing over the revered stool of Agbowa-Ikosi, Lagos State, as deposed monarch Oba Owolabi Saheed Momson has filed a motion at the Court of Appeal seeking to nullify the judgment that removed him from office.
Ekohotblog reports that in a dramatic twist, the embattled monarch alleges that the court processes used to secure his removal were signed by a man who was not qualified to practise law in Nigeria at the time, rendering the entire case “fundamentally defective and unconstitutional.”
Oba Momson, in a sworn affidavit submitted to the appellate court, claimed that S.O.K. Shillings, the lawyer who prepared and signed the originating Writ of Summons and Statement of Claim in the initial High Court case filed by Prince Babatunde Adenusi and others, was not a licensed legal practitioner at the time of filing.
“This is not just a technical issue. It strikes at the very root of justice and due process,” Oba Momson stated.

“Even right now, I am supposed to share my blueprint for everyone to see because I have it here,” she said. “But unfortunately due to time, I couldn’t.
However, I am still going to do that. We have eight wards, and I will be going on a tour in each one. At every ward, I will drop my blueprint so the people can see what I have planned.”

A spiritually uplifting Mass was held on Sunday, June 22, 2025, at St. Theresa’s Catholic Church, Epe, as 25 children received their First Holy Communion and 63 women were formally inducted into the Catholic Women Organisation Nigeria (CWO).
