Lagos State University (LASU), Ojo Campus, Unveiled the newly built state-of-the-art, Babajide Sanwo-Olu Library Complex, on Tuesday, 21 October 2025, at the main campus opposite the Senate Building.

EKOHOTBLOG reports that the event drew a gathering of Dignitaries, including the Deputy governor of Lagos state, Dr. Kadri Obafemi Hamzat, Minister of education, Dr. Maruf Tunji Alausa, Honorable Commissioner of tertiary education in Lagos, Tolani Sule, Vice Chancellor of Lagos state university, Prof. Ibiyemi Olatunji Bello, Managing Director of CCECC, Special Adviser, Engr. Olufemi Daramola, Members of the executive Council, Deans of faculties, alongside Traditional fathers which include; the Olojo of Ojo land, Oba Galib Adeniyi-Rufai, Adeife I, Oniba of Iba land underscored the significant of the event.

Vice Chancellor of LASU in her remarks expressed profound appreciation to the state governor for his continued investment and contributions to the institution.

Minister of education, Dr. Maruf Tunji Alausa in his personal statement commended Lagos sate Government’s efforts in promoting academic development, immersed contribution into learning, saying he his a man of vision.

The Commissioner for Tertiary Education, Tolani Sule also commended him for his visionary leadership in shaping educational foundation.
Meanwhile, the students added cultural richness to the event, as they performed a vibrant display, showcasing the beauty and pride for Lagos state heritage.
The Governor further reassured the provision of five additional staff buses for LASU employers, a gesture that sparked excitement and appreciation among the university staff.
