United States President Donald Trump has claimed that he personally saved Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, from an assassination attempt and warned that further bombings would follow if Iran attempted to develop nuclear weapons.

EKO HOT BLOG reports that in a fiery post on his Truth Social platform on Friday, Trump accused Tehran of ingratitude after Khamenei downplayed reports of damage to Iran’s nuclear facilities and boasted that Iran had dealt a “slap” to Washington. Trump said that despite knowing Khamenei’s exact location during the conflict, he deliberately spared his life.
“I knew EXACTLY where he was sheltered, and would not let Israel, or the U.S. Armed Forces, by far the Greatest and Most Powerful in the World, terminate his life,” Trump posted.
“I SAVED HIM FROM A VERY UGLY AND IGNOMINIOUS DEATH, and he does not have to say, ‘THANK YOU, PRESIDENT TRUMP!’”
Trump further revealed that he had been working on plans to ease sanctions against Iran but has now halted those efforts following Tehran’s defiant stance. “Instead of gratitude, I get statements of anger and hatred,” he wrote. “I immediately dropped all work on sanction relief, and more.”
The outburst came as Iran prepared for a state funeral for 60 nuclear scientists and military commanders killed during Israel’s 12-day bombing campaign that began on June 13. Iranian authorities reported that the strikes resulted in the deaths of at least 627 civilians. Tehran has denied pursuing nuclear weapons, maintaining its nuclear program is peaceful.
Despite Trump’s claim that nuclear negotiations were about to resume, Iran has publicly rejected any suggestion that talks with the U.S. will restart soon.
The situation continues to escalate as tensions remain high in the Middle East.
