EKO HOT BLOG reports that Akindamola, through his lawyer M.A. Daramola of Octodas Attorneys, issued a legal notice on July 16, 2025, demanding an apology, public retraction and ₦20 million compensation over alleged defamatory remarks made by Mrs. Ayodele.
According to the notice, the statements allegedly made by the SAO damaged Akindamola’s reputation and subjected him to ridicule and emotional distress among peers, alumni, and professional contacts.
The lawyer described the comments as “reckless, inflammatory, and defamatory,” asserting that Akindamola had been falsely accused of embezzling over ₦2 million from the union’s account during his tenure.
Akindamola claimed that Mrs. Ayodele spread “malicious and unfounded” statements, calling him a “dubious personality” and alleging he “stole over ₦2 million” from the student fund.
Among the remarks attributed to Mrs. Ayodele were comments that the ex-student leader “was not okay,” “did jargon and rubbish,” and “is a man of questionable character.”
The legal document revealed that these accusations have gone viral among former students and associates, with Akindamola receiving calls from within and outside Ekiti State seeking clarification.
His lawyer noted that the fallout has caused the former SUG president “psychological disorder,” public embarrassment, and a deterioration of his health due to the stress.
It added that Akindamola has become the subject of avoidance by close friends and has been repeatedly confronted over the allegations in social and professional spaces.
Citing reputational damage, the legal team demanded a public apology, to be published in two national dailies and multiple Ekiti media outlets.
The lawyer warned that if the SAO fails to comply within 14 days of receiving the letter, legal action will be initiated for “the redress of the damage and onslaught to his character.”
The demand letter also described Mrs. Ayodele’s comments as “unconscionable, preposterous and laced with pathological falsehood.”
Meanwhile, this isn’t the first time the SAO has faced public accusations. In April 2025, SaharaReporters published a report alleging systemic abuse, bullying, and harassment of students by Mrs. Ayodele.
Students accused her of slapping them, violating their privacy, and suppressing their rights, with several complaints allegedly ignored by school authorities.
Responding to the latest claims, Mrs. Ayodele stated that the allegations stemmed from a financial issue investigated by a panel and advised the press to contact the management for further details.
She said: “Kindly contact the management for details about the withdrawal of ₦2 million only from the SUG sports account during the tenure of Mr. Ibitola because the issue was referred to a panel of enquiry.”

She added that Mr. Ibitola “will be contacted as requested by his lawyer.”
As of now, the management of the College of Nursing Science, EKSUTH, has not issued any public response on the matter.
