EKO HOT BLOG reports that the six-time African Women’s Player of the Year made the clarification while addressing journalists in Rabat, Morocco, on Saturday night. “I don’t know where that came from, but agenda must agend. I get it, but I’m not bothered. I’m still here. I’m still playing. I’m still doing my job. That’s what I’m focused on,” she said.
Oshoala’s remarks come amid intense speculation online that she was considering ending her decade-long career with the national team. However, she made it clear that she remains committed to representing Nigeria at the highest level.
Since joining the Super Falcons in 2013, Oshoala has grown into one of the most celebrated figures in African women’s football. She gained global recognition in 2014 after winning both the Golden Boot and Golden Ball at the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup.
She went on to help Nigeria win the African Women’s Championship in 2014, and later added more WAFCON titles in 2016, 2018, and 2024. Oshoala also made history as the first African to score in three consecutive FIFA Women’s World Cups — 2015, 2019, and 2023.

Her firm dismissal of the retirement claims assures fans that the Super Falcons will continue to count on her experience and brilliance in upcoming tournaments.
