Reacting with sarcasm and wit, Ayra Starr reposted the clip on social media with the caption: “Does Ayra Starr know about this?”, clearly poking fun at the false claims. She also referenced the popular Nigerian lyric: “Them lie on top your head for broad daylight”, stressing that the rumour was baseless.
Ayra, also known as Oyinkansola Sarah Aderibigbe, clarified that there are no such restrictions in her contract. In fact, her current activities suggest nothing but creative freedom.
The singer has continued to post freely on social media, dropped her bold single “Hot Body,” collaborated with Wizkid on “Gimme Dat,” and teased a romantic-themed video for “Lagos Love Story” a track reportedly inspired by her real-life relationship.

Her lighthearted clapback has also strengthened her image as a confident young artist who is in control of her career and personal life.
“Signed to Roc Nation, not to a convent,” she joked, dismissing the rumour with flair.
Ayra Starr’s response shows that she’s not only managing her growing fame but also shaping the narrative on her own terms.
