In a remarkable and dignified ceremony held on Tuesday, July 29th, 2025, the Executive Chairman of Epe Local Government, Hon. (Princess) Surah Olayemi Animashaun, FHTI, officially swore in the newly elected councillors who will serve across the wards of the Local Government for the new legislative term.
Ekohotblog reports that the event, which took place at the council secretariat, was graced by party stakeholders, traditional leaders, family members, and well-wishers.

The atmosphere was filled with renewed hope, optimism, and a strong collective commitment to grassroots governance and inclusive progress.
While administering the oath of office, the Chairman urged the councillors to embrace their new roles with integrity, transparency, and deep loyalty to their communities.
“Today’s event is not merely ceremonial, it is a call to duty, a reaffirmation of our democracy, and the beginning of a new chapter of public service rooted in progress, accountability, and purposeful leadership,” she said.
Describing the councillors as “torchbearers of development, partners in transformation, and co-drivers of a greater Epe,” Hon.
Animashaun emphasized that their legislative support is crucial to the success of her administration’s second-term agenda, which is anchored on infrastructural development, youth and women empowerment, educational growth, and sustainable community advancement.
