Nigeria’s senior women’s basketball team, D’Tigress, delivered a commanding performance on Sunday night to clinch their fifth straight FIBA Women’s AfroBasket title and seventh overall, further solidifying their dominance in African basketball.
Eko Hot Blog reports that the historic victory took place at the Palais des Sports in Treichville, Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire, and quickly drew praise from President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, who described the achievement as a proud moment for the country.
