The National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) has given its approval for 60 academic programs at the Federal Polytechnic Damaturu, with the new and re-approved programs set to begin in the 2025/2026 academic session.
Eko Hot Blog reports that the approval includes 24 new programs and the re-accreditation of 36 existing ones at both the National Diploma (ND) and Higher National Diploma (HND) levels.

The Rector of the polytechnic, Dr. Ibrahim Bello, noted that the new programs were specifically developed to meet the needs of society and that this achievement is a direct result of the teamwork among the polytechnic’s management and staff.
Dr. Bello believes that with the new programs, the institution will see an increase in student enrollment and will become a preferred choice for students in the North East region.
He commended his staff and management for their hard work and urged them to continue working toward the polytechnic’s overall goals.
