Prominent activist and politician Omoyele Sowore has strongly criticized former Minister of Transportation Rotimi Amaechi, calling him a “fool at 40” for claiming he could end corruption in Nigeria within one month if elected president.
Eko Hot Blog reports that Sowore’s attack came in response to Amaechi’s recent statement, which he found unbelievable given the former minister’s long political history.

In a video released by SaharaReporters, Sowore pointed out that Amaechi has spent 24 years in government, serving eight years as a state speaker, another eight as a governor, and eight as a minister.

He argued that throughout these numerous positions, Amaechi did not demonstrate any ability to combat corruption. By using the proverb “a fool at 40 is a fool forever,” Sowore questioned the honesty of Amaechi’s promise.
Sowore also used the opportunity to express his frustration with both Nigerian politicians and the younger generation, suggesting that the public is being deceived by empty promises.
