President Bola Tinubu held a Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting in Abuja. Before the main meeting began, he officially swore in the new members of the Nigeria Law Reforms Commission (NLRC).
Eko Hot Blog reports that the new appointees are Professor Dakas CJ Dakas, who will serve as the Chairman, and Dr. Uchenna Eugene, a new Commissioner. The swearing-in ceremony took place in the Council Chambers of the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

During the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting, which President Tinubu presided over, the council observed a minute of silence in memory of Chief Audu Ogbeh. Ogbeh, who passed away recently, was a former Minister of Agriculture and a one-time national Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Senator George Akume, the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, offered a tribute, describing Chief Ogbeh as a true Nigerian patriot.
High-ranking government officials present at the meeting included Vice President Senator Kashim Shettima, the Head of Civil Service Dr. Esther Didi Walson-Jack, National Security Adviser Mallam Nuhu Ribadu, and the Chief of Staff to the President, Femi Gbajabiamila.
