“As we come to the end of the Lenten season… it is my wish and hope that all the lessons we have learnt throughout the period of fasting… will come forward in our daily life,” he said.
Sanwo-Olu noted that both Lent and Ramadan offered periods of reflection, urging Nigerians to remain grateful and committed to unity regardless of religious differences.
“Easter is a season of blessings, love and happiness… let us be our brother’s keeper, giving, loving our neighbours as ourselves and keeping a community that is for everyone,” he added.
He further stressed the need for citizens to maintain peace and security while celebrating.

“Let us go out and enjoy, but do it with caution,” he advised.
Commenting on national issues, the governor commended Bola Ahmed Tinubu for ongoing reforms, noting improvements in key economic indicators.
“The country itself has its own challenges… but he has earned credibility and leadership qualities that we know of him,” Sanwo-Olu said.
He highlighted gains such as stability in the financial sector, growth in the capital market, and what he described as a reduction in inflation and food prices.
While acknowledging ongoing security concerns in parts of the country, including Plateau State, the governor expressed confidence in the federal government’s commitment to addressing the challenges.
