President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration has allocated more than N25 billion to support Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in a bid to significantly reduce poverty and hunger in the country.
Eko Hot Blog reports that Vice President Senator Kashim Shettima revealed this on Tuesday during the commissioning of the Expanded National MSME Clinic at the Calabar International Conference Centre, Cross River State.

He stated that the President is passionate about ensuring that Nigerians benefit from the initiative, noting that small-scale businesses employ a large proportion of the nation’s young population.
Shettima added that Tinubu sees MSMEs as a vital platform for building a vibrant economy.

“The President is committed to this programme and is ensuring that funds are released for this purpose,” he said.
While urging young people to take advantage of the administration’s MSME programme, he encouraged them to embrace digitalisation as a key tool for engaging with business owners across the world.
Shettima also revealed that the federal government plans to plant 100 palm trees next season in Cross River, highlighting the vast land available in the state for agricultural cultivation.
