Cristiano Ronaldo was greeted with overwhelming excitement in Hong Kong on Tuesday night as he played a key role in Al Nassr’s 2-1 victory over Al Ittihad in the Saudi Super Cup.
EKO HOT BLOG reports that the 40-year-old football icon showed flashes of brilliance during the match and he came close to scoring twice before halftime and narrowly missed with a powerful free-kick.

His most telling contribution came when he broke free from the Al Ittihad defence and squared the ball for fellow Portuguese star Joao Felix recently signed from Chelsea to slot home the decisive goal.
Earlier in the game, former Liverpool forward Sadio Mane opened the scoring for Al Nassr before being sent off in the 25th minute following a VAR review. Al Ittihad equalised shortly after, but Ronaldo’s assist secured the win.

Off the pitch, Ronaldo’s presence captivated the city. Fans gathered around his hotel, with some even booking rooms just to catch a glimpse of the star. A museum in his honour was recently opened in Hong Kong, underscoring his enduring global appeal.
Reports say Ronaldo was moved by the local admiration, particularly from younger fans. “This means more to me than any trophy,” he said during a visit to the museum, clearly touched by the affection shown to him.
