Senator Iyiola Omisore, the past National Secretary of the APC, has started a grassroots consultation tour in Osun State, seeking the party’s governorship ticket.
According to a report by Eko Hot Blog, Senator Omisore stated that the APC must present a candidate who can win the next election, not just participate.
He added, ‘This is not about ambition alone; it is about collective reasoning and strategy. Osun needs common sense now more than ever.

Omisore also reiterated his commitment to due process, noting that his final decision will depend on stakeholder alignment.
Hon. Folorunso Oladoyin Bamisayemi, a former Commissioner for Education, stated that Omisore’s significant political base in Ife makes him a strong contender.
Another party leader, Hon. Olanrewaju Balogun, Chairman of Ilesa East LGA, described Omisore’s campaign as a “unity agenda” and the beginning of a “rescue mission” for Osun State.
The consultation tour began with a visit to Chief Akinwande Ayinde Akinola, the Sawe of Ilesa.
