The Osun State Government has announced that Deputy Governor Kola Adewusi retains his position despite a recent vote of no confidence passed in him.
According to a report by Eko Hot Blog, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the Ife Federal Constituency had voted against Adewusi and a Board of Trustees member, Prof. Wale Oladipo, over allegations of anti-party activities.

In a statement released on Tuesday, the Commissioner for Information, Kolapo Alimi, dismissed the vote, describing the incident as a “family dispute” that the party’s leadership is currently resolving.

The government expressed its full confidence in both officials, stating that they are loyal and committed to the administration of Governor Ademola Adeleke.
The commissioner further stated that Adewusi’s position as the second-in-command is not affected by the controversy. He also confirmed that Prof. Oladipo retains his position as the State University Governing Council Chairman.
The government urged all party leaders to “sheathe their swords” and allow the party’s internal process to address their grievances.
