According to a statement issued on Saturday, the group included 25 adult males, 27 adult females, 39 male children, and 57 female children.
NEMA noted that the returnees were immediately taken to Chila Hotel in Kano for documentation and profiling by officials from various government agencies.
While the returnees were not placed under any formal reintegration programme, they were given transport assistance through ATM cards to access financial support after the documentation process.
Describing the operation, NEMA stated that it was “well coordinated and successfully carried out,” noting the seamless collaboration among the agencies involved.
This evacuation comes amid ongoing violent conflict in Sudan, which has left many displaced and placed a burden on the region’s infrastructure.
The Federal Government continues to work with NEMA and other international partners to ensure the safe return and support of Nigerians affected by crises in Sudan and other countries.

In addition, NEMA is also working with agencies such as the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP), which recently rescued Nigerian girls from trafficking camps in Libya.
