On Tuesday, September 23, 2025, His Royal Majesty, Oba (Tpl) AbdulRasaq Akanni Musa, the Orijeru of Igbooye Kingdom, officially commissioned the newly constructed perimeter fence at St. Paul’s Anglican Primary School, Igbooye.
Eko Hot Blog reports that the project, facilitated by Hon. Monsuru Akinloye, Executive Chairman of Eredo LCDA, was described as part of his administration’s ongoing commitment to ensuring a safe and secure learning environment across schools within the council area.
Representing the Chairman at the ceremony, Vice Chairman Hon. Abdulateef Adesanya noted,
“This project is more than just a fence; it is a shield of protection for our children. Education remains our top priority, and we will continue to invest in facilities that guarantee safety and quality learning.”

The event drew a wide range of stakeholders, including the Councilor of Ward H1, Hon. Adeniyi Wasiu; Hon. Ahmed Johnson; political leaders of Ward H1; the school management team; youth representatives; and members of the Igbooye community.
Expressing delight at the initiative, Oba AbdulRasaq Akanni Musa commended the council’s leadership for prioritizing education.
“This effort is a symbol of the strong partnership between traditional institutions, government, and the community.
It shows that when we work together, the future of our children is secured,” the monarch stated.
The commissioning was warmly received as a demonstration of collaboration between traditional authority, political leadership, and the local community in advancing educational development and fostering a secure environment for young learners.
