Police in Jos, Plateau State, have arrested a 51-year-old married man, Moses Abraham, for allegedly killing his lover, Cecilia, after accusing her of infidelity.
Eko Hot Blog reports that the incident which occurred on Friday at the Legislative Quarters area of the state capital, shocked residents of the neighbourhood.

Abraham, a long-distance tanker driver and father of five, reportedly attacked Cecilia in the apartment he had rented for her after discovering another man there earlier in the day.
Eyewitnesses said Abraham, who resides in Bidi-Bidi, left the apartment upon meeting the unidentified man but later returned in the night after drinking at a nearby bar.
He allegedly locked the door, beat Cecilia severely, repeatedly slammed her head against the wall, and finally crushed her skull with a stone.
“The late woman, Cecilia, is separated from her husband. Abraham rented the apartment for her while she ran a salon nearby,” a neighbour said.

“According to him, he had been told that she often brought men home whenever he was out of town. That night, he came unannounced, saw another man with her, and it led to the fight that ended her life.”
After committing the crime, Abraham reportedly went straight to the Nasarawa-Gwom Police Station where he confessed to the murder. He later led officers to the scene, where Cecilia’s remains were evacuated and deposited at a mortuary.
Police authorities confirmed that the suspect is currently in custody while investigations continue.
