EKO HOT BLOG reports that speaking on Arise Television on Monday, Arnold said it was contradictory for Nigeria to reject American opinions on its security challenges yet continue to solicit aid from the same country.
He wondered why a nation as naturally endowed as Nigeria would rely on foreign help instead of utilising its vast resources to address internal crises.

“I don’t understand why a nation as mineral-rich as Nigeria has to beg for help to save its own people,” Arnold said. “Nigeria has enough resources to create stability and provide for its citizens. Displaced people are denied stability, their homes are bulldozed without warning — it’s horrific. You don’t want America to talk about terrorism here, yet you want their money. That makes no sense whatsoever.”
