President Trump will award the Presidential Medal of Freedom, America’s highest civilian honor, to the late right-wing activist Charlie Kirk in a White House ceremony on Tuesday.
Eko Hot Blog gathered that an assailant fatally shot Mr. Kirk, a crucial organizer of the MAGA movement, on September 10 while he spoke at an event at Utah Valley University.

The day after his death, Trump announced the posthumous medal, calling Kirk “a giant of his generation, a champion of liberty and an inspiration to millions.”
Kirk proved highly significant in modern American politics, helping to energize young conservatives to support Trump in the 2024 presidential election.

However, his rhetoric generated controversy, including his criticism of LGBTQ+ rights and his assertion that the Civil Rights Act of 1964 was a “mistake.”
The ceremony occurs immediately after President Trump’s whirlwind trip to Israel and Egypt, where he secured an initial ceasefire deal between Israel and Hamas.
Both the House and Senate designated October 14 as a “National Day of Remembrance for Charlie Kirk” last month, coinciding with what would have been the late activist’s 32nd birthday on Tuesday.
