The Epe Division Professional Women Association (EPWA) has announced a weeklong celebration to mark its 10th anniversary, highlighting a decade of empowering women and contributing to community development across Lagos State.
Eko Hot Blog reports that the anniversary, themed “A Week of Celebration, Empowerment and Fellowship,” will run from Thursday, October 16 to Sunday, October 26, 2025, featuring fitness walks, capacity-building sessions, medical outreach, special prayers, and a grand finale in Epe.

Speaking ahead of the programme, residents of Epe described EPWA as a shining example of women-driven impact in the division. Many praised the association for championing initiatives that support education, health, and professional growth for women and youth.
The celebration will open on Thursday, October 16 with special prayers by Muslim and Christian clerics, followed by a press conference in Lagos.

On Thursday, October 23, members will embark on a Walk for Fitness and hold empowerment sessions with visits to traditional rulers and local government leaders.
Activities continue on Friday, October 24, with a medical outreach, special Jumat prayer at Eredo Central Mosque, and an evening Ladies’ Hangout and Dinner Night.
The highlight of the week will be the Grand Finale on Saturday, October 25, at the Regent Haven Event Centre, Agric, Epe, bringing together professionals, dignitaries, and community stakeholders to celebrate a decade of service. The week will close with a Thanksgiving Service on Sunday, October 26, at St. Michael’s Anglican Church, Popo-Oba, Epe.
Residents say EPWA’s activities have inspired many young women to take up leadership roles and build professional careers. The 10th anniversary, they added, reflects how far the group has come in fostering unity, mentorship, and positive change within Epe Division.
