Eko Hot Blog reports that speaking during a press interview, the grassroots mobilizer and youth leader said the initiative was born out of a desire to strengthen grassroots engagement and ensure that government policies translate into tangible benefits for communities across the division.
According to Comrade Giwa, his experience as a Public Health Practitioner, Apex Youth Leader, and political strategist exposed the challenges associated with fragmented grassroots participation, making it necessary to create a unified platform capable of mobilizing support and fostering political inclusiveness.

“Epe Division must speak with one voice and act with one purpose if we are to secure our rightful share of development and political relevance. THEDSF was established to bring together youths, elders, professionals, and community mobilizers under a common vision of supporting President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Deputy Governor Kadri Obafemi Hamzat,” he said.
The THEDSF Director General noted that the group would serve as a bridge between government policies and grassroots communities by creating awareness, mobilizing support, countering misinformation, and promoting civic participation.
He emphasized that the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Tinubu and the developmental vision of Deputy Governor Hamzat require strong grassroots structures to ensure their benefits are properly communicated and understood by the people.
Comrade Giwa further stated that the emergence of Dr. Kadri Obafemi Hamzat, an indigene of Epe Division, as a potential governorship candidate presents a unique opportunity for the division to consolidate its political relevance within Lagos State.
He explained that THEDSF intends to coordinate support efforts across communities and polling units while promoting voter education and active political participation.
Speaking on the role of youths, the DG described young people as the most dynamic force within the political landscape and a critical factor in the success of any political movement.
“Youths are not just supporters; they are influencers, organizers, and innovators. If we lose the youths, we lose the future of the movement,” he said.
To achieve its objectives, he revealed that the organization would focus on political education, creative engagement, and capacity building. These initiatives, he explained, would help young people understand government policies, participate actively in civic processes, and access opportunities linked to government programmes.
The DG added that THEDSF plans to utilize digital media platforms, town hall meetings, community outreach programmes, mentorship opportunities, and skills development initiatives to engage and empower youths across Epe Division.
He expressed confidence that the movement would contribute significantly to voter mobilization ahead of future elections and strengthen support for progressive governance.
Comrade Giwa concluded by reaffirming the group’s commitment to expanding political participation at the grassroots and declared its readiness to work towards increasing voter turnout across Epe Division ahead of the 2027 general elections.
