In another remarkable show of commitment to educational development, the Executive Chairman of Epe Local Government, Hon. (Princess) Surah Olayemi Animashaun, FHTI, on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, distributed thousands of notebooks to pupils across both upland and riverine primary schools in Epe.
Eko Hot Blog reports that the distribution exercise, which brought smiles to the faces of pupils and teachers alike, is part of the council’s ongoing educational support initiative aimed at easing the burden on parents while promoting learning among children in public schools.

Speaking during the event, Hon. Princess Surah Animashaun reiterated her administration’s dedication to nurturing young minds through access to quality education and essential learning materials.
She emphasized that “education remains the most powerful tool for shaping the future of Epe,” adding that her goal is to ensure no child is left behind, regardless of their location or background.

Teachers, parents, and community leaders lauded the initiative, describing it as “a blessing to every home in Epe.”
Many noted that the gesture has further strengthened confidence in local governance and inspired renewed hope in the community’s educational growth.
A head teacher from one of the benefiting schools expressed joy, saying the intervention “has lifted a huge financial burden off parents, especially those in the riverine areas.”
