In a follow-up video, Tiwa clarified that she was not promoting polygamy but expressing emotional exhaustion from past relationships.
“I was a first wife — where did that get me? I got married as the only wife, but here we are,” she said. “I’m tired of being heartbroken; maybe I’m just getting it wrong.”

The singer noted that her comments were made out of pain, not preference. “It’s not my choice. I don’t want to. I wish I could tell my truth, but I’ll be dragged,” she added.
Savage, a mother of one, said her words reflected her emotional state, not her values or intentions.
She urged fans to understand that her remarks were shaped by her experiences, not her outlook on marriage.
