The Inspector General of Police, Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, has approved the posting of Mohammed Adamu Dankwara as the new Deputy Inspector General of Police in charge of the Department of Finance and Administration.

EKO HOT BLOG reports that the Force Public Relations Officer, Benjamin Hundeyin, announced the appointment in a statement issued on Friday, noting that the deployment reflects the police leadership’s ongoing efforts to enhance efficiency and strengthen institutional capacity across all departments.
Hundeyin explained that the Inspector General expressed confidence in Dankwara’s ability to provide strategic support to the administrative arm of the Nigeria Police Force, citing his years of experience and proven leadership record.
Dankwara takes over from Sahabo Abubakar Yahaya who recently retired after more than thirty years of service. Before this elevation, he served as the Assistant Inspector General of Police in charge of the Force Criminal Investigation Department in Abuja where he was widely commended for professionalism and commitment to duty.

The Nigeria Police Force stated that it remains focused on improving service delivery nationwide through purposeful leadership placement and strengthened administrative structures.
