Augustine University, Ilara-Epe, on Friday, 14th November 2025, received the National Universities Commission (NUC) accreditation team for the Department of Business Administration. The team visited the institution to assess academic quality, staffing, facilities, curriculum, and overall compliance with NUC standards.
Eko Hot Blog reports that the Vice-Chancellor, Rev. Fr. Professor Anthony Alaba Akinwale, OP, led principal officers to receive the team, reaffirming the institution’s commitment to excellence.

He stated that “Augustine University remains dedicated to maintaining high academic standards and continuously improving all our programmes.”
He further added that “Our goal is to ensure that every programme meets and exceeds both national and global benchmarks.”
Earlier, on Monday, 27th October 2025, the University had welcomed NUC accreditation teams for the Department of Political Science & International Relations and the Department of Chemical Sciences.

The teams conducted comprehensive assessments, including laboratory inspections, classroom evaluations, library resource reviews, and interactive sessions with academic staff and students.
The accreditation exercises underscore Augustine University’s drive to strengthen its academic structure and provide quality education.
The management noted that “the University is fully prepared to support every stage of the accreditation process and uphold its culture of excellence.”
