A notorious bandit leader, identified as Isiya Kwashen Garwa, has released 37 kidnapped persons held in captivity in Bakori Local Government Area of Katsina State.

EKO HOT BLOG reports that the victims, made up of men and women abducted during recent attacks on rural communities, regained their freedom on Wednesday after spending several days in the hands of the armed group.
Reports from security analyst Zagazola Makama confirmed the development. A community source said the release brought a measure of relief to residents who have been living in fear due to persistent kidnappings along the Bakori Funtua axis.
The source, who spoke with deep concern for those still missing, prayed for the safe return of all victims still in captivity. “May Allah rescue our remaining brothers and sisters in the hands of these criminals and bring an end to their reign and those sponsoring them,” he said.

Authorities and residents continue to appeal for stronger security measures to curb the growing wave of abductions across the state.
