Minister of Defence Mohammed Badaru Abubakar has resigned from office, saying his decision was driven by health concerns.

In his resignation letter, the former Jigawa State governor explained that his health challenges would no longer allow him to continue serving in the role.

President Tinubu has accepted the resignation and expressed appreciation for Badaru’s service to the nation.
Sources indicate that the President is expected to inform the Senate of a replacement later this week.
